Awards Opportunity

Let Friends Celebrate Sustainable Progress for the River with a Chicago River Blue Award!

In 2010, Friends of the Chicago River developed Chicago River Blue as an initiative that encourages and identifies design and development within the Chicago River system that takes people, wildlife, and clean water into account. Since the program's inception, we have awarded over 25 projects and developments that are truly inspirational! The application (and nomination) period is now open for the 2015 Chicago River Blue Awards.

Have you worked on or know of a project that deserves special recognition for its incorporation of river sensitive design? We would love to hear from you! Please contact Maddie Mahan, [email protected], by April 3 with all inquiries. Awards will be presented on the evening of June 4 at Friends' annual gala.
