Proposals for Build Business 2015

Submit Your Breakout Session Proposal for Build Business 2015

Deadline: September 22, 2014

The Conference Planning Committee invites you to submit a proposal for a breakout session for Build Business: go beyond, the SMPS Annual Conference, scheduled for August 19–21, 2015, in Los Angeles, CA.

Can you inspire a roomful of people? Can you excite your colleagues with your innovative ideas? Do you have, or know a colleague with, an important story to share?

The conference committee will focus on speakers who excite, inspire, and implement practices that can move firms to go beyond their current state and transform the A/E/C industry. The selected programs will teach attendees about marketing and business development as the catalyst to the future. Programs that help us create marketing-led firms are the goal of the selection process.

The Conference Planning Committeewill identify tracks based on proposals accepted. The committee is open to single speakers, panels, and client panels that meet the goals of the conference—those topics of value to our attendees.

We are looking for two types of session formats:

  • a 75-minute program consisting of an individual presenter, duo, or panel
  • a short-form, impactful session running 15 to 18 minutes in the style of TED talks

Please download the Call for Presentations for complete details on session formats, audience, speaker benefits, and the proposal submission process.

Proposals for Build Business must be completed in the abstract submission system (as outlined in the Call for Presentations document) by 11:59 pm EDT on September 22, 2014.

Speakers will be notified of the status of their proposals in November 2014.

Questions about the submission process for Build Business may be directed to Dan Reilly at SMPS Headquarters at 800.292.7677800.292.7677, x223, or [email protected].
Have you heard a speaker you would recommend for Build Business? Please forward this message and encourage him or her to submit a session proposal. Thank you!
