Big and small cities throughout the country are adopting inventive “smart” solutions to provide more efficient and improved services to their citizens.

The AEC industry is making great strides due to the emerging technologies of this digitally-driven revolution, with data and analytics.  This will essentially alter all aspects of the built environment, from the design and production of buildings, roads, cities, and reducing environmental footprints, to new economic development opportunities.

What can organizations do today to make sure they’re equipped to lead the development of the cities of tomorrow?

Learning Objectives:

  • Hear the drivers and challenges to smart cities development
  • Examine the latest trends in smart cities as it relates to the Internet of Things
  • Understand what defines a building as intelligent
  • Understand the benefits of Intelligent Buildings (IB) to owners, operators, and occupants
  • Understand the impact of IB on traditional AEC value and contributions
  • Hear examples of the driving forces advancing intelligent buildings and its subsystems
